Supported File Formats

Media Go supports the file formats listed below.

Please note:

  • If you have media files in your library that are supported by your device but Media Go does not play, the files are placed in the appropriate category in your Media Go library. For example, these files are available for transfer to your device by Media Go but are not re-encoded and not playable by Media Go:

    • .mnb
    • .o4v
    • .odf
  • The installation of Media Go no longer includes an installation step for Apple QuickTime. Therefore, support for some video formats (such as .mov and .qt files) may require manual installation of the current version of Apple QuickTime. You can download QuickTime here. After installing QuickTime, you will need to restart your computer in order for Media Go to play files that require QuickTime.

Media Go will not be able to play any iTunes media protected with Digital Rights Management (DRM), such as movies and TV shows.

  • Media Go does not currently support ATRAC (.oma) media protected with Digital Rights Management (DRM). For more information on working with this media, click here.
